1. A Christmas Carol (2009)
Robert Zemeckis retells Charles Dickens’ classic novel ‘A Christmas Carol’ in an animated movie of the same title. Jim Carrey plays the role of Ebenezer Scrooge (and a multitude of other roles in the movie), a mean money lender who is not fond of the Christmas merriment. On Christmas Eve, spirits let him see a glimpse of his miserable existence, the opportunities he took for granted, and the consequences that awaits him if he doesn’t change. Set in the Victorian era, ‘A Christmas Carol’ is a story centers on self-redemption amidst the Christmas season.
2. Elf (2003)
Buddy (Will Ferrel) was raised by elves in the North Pole. He was stowed away in Santa’s sack 30 years ago. All his life he had believed he is one of them, an elf, until the elf community had enough of him creating disasters and told him the truth. His journey to finding his biological parents started from then on and he found himself in New York City. But what if he found out that his father Walter Hobbs (James Caan) is on Santa’s naughty list?
