It’s not necessary but drinking a healthy concoction will provide you the energy you need to last the day. So what kind of juice? There is a lot to choose from and besides, not all are perfect for mornings. Worry no more. We’ve narrowed down the long list plus we’ve added recipes so you could try it out.
Blueberries have anti-inflammatory properties and are known to have antioxidant capacity. It decreases the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Drinking blueberry juice in the morning reduces the risk of lifestyle related health conditions.
2 and 1/2 cups Fresh Blueberries (or frozen)
2 cups Water
1 tablespoon Sugar
Boil together the berries, water, and sugar.
Turn heat to low and simmer for another 10 minutes.
The original recipe instructs to mash the berries with the back of a spoon or a potato masher to release their juices or use a high speed blender.
Strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer until all the liquid is released. Save the pulp for smoothies.
This juice can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or can be frozen in small portions in sealed plastic bags or containers.
This measurement yields 2 and 1/2 cups of Blueberry juice.
